Maharashtra extended pandemic curbs by another two weeks as the state continues to battle the spread of the coronavirus. The existing restrictions on movement of individuals and on business operations will now stay in effect till May 15, and will not expire on May 1 as earlier announced.
The local administration in Mumbai has decided to close all vaccination centres in the city for three days due to a shortage of doses.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has said citizens above 45 years of age, who have registered, will be vaccinated for sure after May 2. The planned vaccination drive for those above 18 years of age is likely to be delayed due to the shortage, it said.
