A dam holding copper-mine waste in Zambia burst, spilling a suspected acidic solution into a nearby stream that destroyed crops and killed fish, state-owned Zambia Daily Mail reported, citing a local government official.
Production at the mine, owned by Rongxing Investment Ltd., has stopped while government investigations are underway, the newspaper said.
