Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. said that it has received a strong early response for its Ola Insiders Upgrade Program. It said it had more than 50,000 customers lining up to avail the service within days of it going live, according to reports
What Ola Insiders Upgrade Program Does
The Ola Insiders Upgrade Program facilitates Ola customers to trade in their old vehicle models for new ones. This program applies to customers who have first generation and second generation Ola Electric Scooters for the latest generation vehicles with up to Rs 50,000 off on the new vehicle. It also includes an 'Add-on' feature where customers who already own an Ola vehicle get Rs 20,000 off if they purchase another one from Ola.
Users can also use it to give referrals to other customers and receive Rs 5,000 in Ola credits, which they can use to get discounts on Ola Electric's products, the user that gets referred is also given a discount of Rs 1,000.

Ola Electric's latest product lineup includes Gen 3 S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. The premium S1 Gen 3 portfolio consists of S1 Pro+ in 5.2kWh, and 4kWh configurations, and S1 Pro in 4kWh, and 3kWh configurations priced at Rs 1.7 lakh, Rs 1.57 lakh, Rs 1.32 lakh and Rs 1.12 lakh respectively.
"The overwhelming response to the Ola Insiders Upgrade Program reflects the deep trust our community places in us. We are excited to take this program to over 150 cities, making it easier for 80% of our customers to upgrade to our latest products and continue their electric journey with Ola," an Ola Electric spokesperson said.
This program is likely part of Ola Electric Mobility's efforts to garner goodwill after the firm received over 10,000 complaints to the consumer protection agency regarding poor service and faulty vehicles.
