Sales of TVS Motor Company Ltd. remained flat for the month of November. Slower sales were a reflection of the short-term impact of demonetisation, the automobile manufacturer said in a media statement, but added that sales were already starting to pick up after the initial hit.

TVS Motor sold 219,088 two-wheelers during the month, 0.6 percent higher than the 217,706 two-wheelers sold in the same month last year.

Motorcyles sales fell 17.3 percent to 67,896 units. Scooters too registered a 3.8 percent decline in sales to 73,135 units.

Three-wheeler sales in November were the worst hit as it slumped 23.5 percent to 5,883 units against 7,695 units last year. This was the tenth straight month of sales decline in the three wheeler segment for the company.

Total exports declines 2.3 percent to 32,829 units compared to last year.
