TCS CEO Krithivasan's Salary Over Rs 26 Crore After Latest Increment

Tata Group-owned IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) paid its CEO K Krithivasan a whopping Rs 26.52 crore in the financial year 2024-25 (FY25).
During the year, Krithivasan received a 4.6% hike in the pay package compared to the previous financial year. In FY24, K Krithivasan earned Rs 25.36 crore.
The information was revealed in the TCS annual report shared on Tuesday. The data on Krithivasan’s salary breakdown reveals that his salary component stood at Rs 1.39 crore, while benefits and allowances accounted for Rs 2.12 crore. The bulk of his earnings, amounting to Rs 23 crore, came in the form of commission.

Krithivasan’s FY25 compensation still stood less than half compared to HCLTech’s CEO, C Vijayakumar, who was paid Rs 84.16 in FY24. Vijayakumar had emerged as the highest-paid Indian IT CEO in FY24. On the other hand, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh earned Rs 66.25 crore during this period.
In contrast, Wipro CEO Srini Pallia got a package of around Rs 54 crore in FY25.
This marks TCS CEO’s compensation as one of the lowest among the top Indian IT firms. Krithivasan holds around 11,232 stocks in the company. He assumed the role of CEO, succeeding Rajesh Gopinathan, on June 1, 2023. The FY25 compensation of other Indian IT giants is expected to be announced soon as more companies share their annual reports.
The report also noted that the company’s average yearly salary increase ranged between 4.5% and 7% in FY25. Only top performers were awarded double digit increments in India.
“However, during the course of the year, the total increase is in the range of 5.5-7.5%, after accounting for promotions and other event based compensation revisions. Employees outside India received a wage increase varying from 1.5-6%,” it said.
"The increase in remuneration is in line with the market trends in the respective countries. In order to ensure that remuneration reflects the Company’s performance, the performance pay is also linked to organization performance and individual utilization in addition to individual performance," the report said.
The company has a total of 6,07,979 permanent employees on its payroll.
