The source cited by the portal added Pen Marudhar's long-standing association with Shah Rukh Khan's banner played a key role in the deal.

'King' is expected to hit cinemas during the crowded Christmas season, where it could face competition from major Hollywood tentpoles such as 'Jumanji', 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Dune 3'.
