HeidelbergCement India's chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) Ashish Guha has resigned from the company.
"Ashish Guha, CEO & Managing Director of the company has notified the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on May 2, 2014 that he had tendered his resignation to HeidelbergCement Group," HeidelbergCement India Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.
The board accepted the resignation but requested Mr Guha to continue as CEO & MD of the company till the appointment of a successor, it said.
"The board however acceded to the request of Guha that it should not be beyond September 30, 2014," the filing added.
