A voluntary pilot program that permits certain corporate employees to work remotely up to two days a week was launched by HDFC Bank, the parent company of HDFC Securities. While customer-facing and branch operations carry on as usual, this arrangement applies to corporate and business-enabling personnel.
This is applicable to corporate enabling functions (human resources, finance, legal, compliance) and business enabling functions (it, transaction banking, digital banking). Eligible staff members are permitted to work from home for up to two days a week.

As per the HDFC's statement, "Effective 1st June 2026, all Corporate and Support Functions, including Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, Legal & Secretarial, Research, and Marketing, will adopt a hybrid work model. For the next two months, these units will operate remotely for two days each week. This flexible model is designed to be reviewed at the end of the period, based on external conditions and operational requirements."
The move has been taken in reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal that businesses implement remote meetings and work-from-home policies in order to save fuel in the face of geopolitical unrest in West Asia.

Commenting on the initiative, Neetika Bhatia, Chief Human Resource Officer at HDFC Securities, said, “Our vision is to lead by example in redefining the future of work and by building a resilient, innovative, and employee-centric culture that drives excellence. The hybrid model exemplifies our unwavering commitment to empowering our employees, fostering agility, and delivering unparalleled service to our clients.”
“Meanwhile, our Engineering, Customer Experience, and Digital Account Opening teams continue to operate on a fully remote, location-agnostic basis. This approach allows us to tap into a broader, more diverse talent pool across the country and provides maximum flexibility to our employees,” added Bhatia in an official statement.
These flexible work arrangements underscore HDFC Securities' unwavering focus on employee centricity, innovation, and delivering exceptional service to its clients, the statement further read.
