Gautam Adani and Israel’s Reuven Azar explored opportunities for expanding India-Israel collaboration, particularly in strategic infrastructure and defence partnerships.

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, met with the Israeli Ambassador to India, HE Reuven Azar, and Rachel Azar, alongside their team, to discuss India-Israel collaboration, particularly in the fields of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor and defence partnerships.

Earlier in the day, Adani addressed students at the Adani International School in Ahmedabad, where he shared his personal story and offered three guiding principles to the young audience: dream relentlessly, learn relentlessly, and build relentlessly. Reflecting on his own humble beginnings in Banaskantha, Adani spoke about the core values of courage, trust, and commitment instilled in him by his parents.
“I was 16 when I bought a train ticket at Ahmedabad railway station and boarded the Gujarat Mail to Mumbai with little more than hope and excitement,” Adani recounted. He went on to join a diamond assortment company, quickly learning the trade before branching out to start his own diamond trading broking at Zaveri Bazar.
At the age of 19, Adani made his first trade with a Japanese buyer, earning a commission of Rs 10,000—a moment he marked as the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey. “While formal education has its place, life experiences and the wisdom gained from them are just as important in shaping success,” he emphasised.
The discussions with the Israeli ambassador and the reflections shared with students underscored Adani's belief in continuous learning, both through formal education and real-world experiences, while reaffirming his dedication to fostering international business relationships.
