(Bloomberg) -- Rafale fighters from the Charles de Gaulle flew on missions against Islamic State in Iraq after the aircraft carrier arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean, Agence France-Presse reported, citing a photographer on board.
It is the third deployment for the Charles de Gaulle in the region since the U.S. and its allies began an air campaign against Islamic State in February 2015. France also has warplanes based in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
