US asset manager BlackRock has launched Aladdin, its unique investment analytics and risk management platform, in India under a joint venture with Reliance-owned Jio Financial Services Ltd.

"We’ve blended Jio’s digital first approach with BlackRock’s global investment expertise – to build solutions around what Indian investors truly need. And for the first time ever Aladdin, BlackRock’s unique investment analytics and risk management platform is now available in India," JioBlackRock Mutual Fund said in a post on X.

Aladdin (Asset, Liability and Debt and Derivative Investment Network) is a multi-asset class platform that supports risk analytics and the full investment process across equity, fixed income, FX, bank loans, derivatives and alternatives such as real estate, commodities, and private equity.

The mutual fund business of the JFS-BlackRock JV received regulatory approval in May.

JFS provides a range of services including loans, savings accounts, UPI bill payments, recharges, digital insurance, financial tracking and management tools and more.

Last week, Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Pvt. received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India to operate as an investment adviser.

The firm can offer personalised, insight-driven investment solutions through a digital-first platform, aiming to democratise access to wealth management services across the country.

Jio BlackRock Asset Management had also announced an early access initiative on its website. The initiative invites individuals to register their interest in Jio BlackRock Asset Management's digital-first offering.

The company offers participants an early look at its value proposition and a chance to dive into its educational content. Upon registration, users gain access to resources covering investment basics, along with features that will enable them to invest directly once the offering goes live.
