AI With Humans Is The Actual Force, Says Arundhati Bhattacharya
This technological leap is not about replacing humans, Bhattacharya puts into perspective, saying that the integration is key.

In an era defined by rapid technological advancement, the integration of digital labour with the human workforce isn't just an efficiency hack, it's a shift in how organisations can unlock their full potential.
"AI with humans is the actual force," that can revolutionise the modern workforce, according to Arundhati Bhattacharya, president and chief executive officer of Salesforce South Asia.
The concept of a digital labour platform addresses a fundamental organisational constraint - the limit on the number of people a company can employ.
The former chief of SBI in a conversation with NDTV Profit elaborates, "All organisations have a limit of people they can employ. Here, companies can use digital layer of labour."
This digital layer, powered by software that learns and improves with each interaction, excels at sifting through vast data to extract actionable insights.
"Our software also learns and improves according to the types of queries. What we are looking to do is to sift through data better and insights," she explained. This capability is universally applicable, as every sector has repetitive task where we can come in, making digital labour an accessible solution across industries, she said.
"Having data is something but taking insight from the data is something else. For businesses, these insights can provide exact insights of how to improve your market motion and unleash a lot of potential that was already there in the data," Bhattacharya explains. This allows companies to optimise operations as well.
This technological leap is not about replacing humans, Bhattacharya puts into perspective, saying that the integration is key.
"We cannot do away with the human elements," emphasises Bhattacharya, "What we can do is to give humans the information that they would have otherwise needed to dig for."
"People need to realise how fast technology is evolving. We will miss out if we do not get on this bandwagon," she notes. The future of work is not just digital but it's a collaborative ecosystem where human workforce is amplified by AI.
