In what could emerge as a likely breakthrough in peace talks between the US and Iran, Tehran is hinting at its willingness for a long and multi-stage truce, Al-Arabiya reported.
According to the publication, Iran has requested a gradual and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and agreed to a long nuclear freeze instead of complete dismantlement.
Tehran is open for a conditional transfer of enriched uranium to Russia instead of America, while it will also back off from demanding compensation for the war, the reports said, citing a leaked negotiation paper.

Iran has also demanded economic facilitations instead of compensation, and asked for multiple international guarantees for any agreement.
The report suggests Iran wants to separate the maritime track from nuclear complications and wants a Pakistani and Omani role for any friction in Hormuz
As per the report, Iran further wants political phrasing for the agreement that saves face for it.

In the meantime, Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, has pledged to never submit to any authority or compromise the dignity of the country for personal comfort.
Pezehshkian pointed out that the US is now trying to drive a wedge between Iranian officials and the people after failing to bring Iran to its knees in three days.
"We refuse to bow. I refuse to submit to any authority. He continued, "We must manage the nation with caution and wisdom, but we will not compromise the nation's dignity for the sake of comfort and our own worldly desires."
He added that there was no scientific, legal, or human rights reasoning behind the adversaries' unlawful martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution.
