"RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extend our heartfelt condolences to the affected families," read Royal Challengers Bengaluru's statement on Bengaluru stampede.
"We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us," it added.
"Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed, the guidance and advice of the local administration. We urge all our supporters to please stay safe", reads the statement.

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy said, "Today, when the RCB team decided to come to Bangalore, I think the government also invited them.
"Before inviting them, if the government had taken proper steps to save the lives of common people, such an incident would not have happened. This is really a sad thing," he said.

IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal says, "This is a very unfortunate incident. We had no information that such an event was being planned. If such events are planned in the future, then proper arrangements should be made. Those who were sitting inside the stadium had no information about the incident."

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the 11 people who lost their lives in the tragic stampede during RCB's victory celebrations.
Siddaramaiah further announced free treatment for the injured at both the private and government hospitals. He confirmed that those who have been brought to the hospital are all out of danger.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah shared that, "got very less time to prepare for the event."
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has ordered a magisterial inquiry and given 15 days' time.
"I don't want to defend this incident. Our government will not do politics on this. I have ordered a magisterial inquiry and given 15 days' time. People even broke the gates of the stadium. There was a stampede," he said.
Eleven people died and 33 people were injured at the stampede during RCB's victory celebrations in Bengaluru, confirmed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
"Most of them who died were youngsters," he said. "Pain of this tragedy has erased joy of victory," he further added.
"We did not expect the number of people that turned up," Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on the stampede during RCB's victory celebrations in Bengaluru.
"Deeply shocked by the stampede," said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the Bengaluru stampede.
"The number of people who turned up where 2-3 lakh, when the capacity of the Chinnaswamy Stadium is around 35,000," Siddaramaiah said while addressing a press conference.
"The match happened last night and the preparation had to be done early this morning," he said.
Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar visited hospital to those injured during the stampede at near Chinnaswamy Stadium.
"Visited Bowring Hospital to meet those injured and the bereaved in today’s unfortunate incident near Chinnaswamy Stadium. Saddened to witness their pain and speak to the victims during these difficult moments. I assured them of the best medical care and full support from the Government, and I wish them a speedy recovery," he shared on his X profile.
"Let our pride and passion always bring joy, not risk. Life is above all. I urge everyone to stay safe and reach home safely," he wrote.

"The crowd was huge, I spoke to the franchise, they also did not think that such a huge crowd would come and this incident happened suddenly. Efforts are being made to provide maximum help to the families of the deceased," BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla told ANI on the stampede during RCB's victory celebrations in Bengaluru.
"This can happen in any state and the ruling party should not be blamed for it. It should not be politicised. If this happens in a BJP-ruled state, we should not blame them," he said.
"It was not anticipated that a stampede would happen outside the stadium," said BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla on Bengaluru stampede,,

"Officials inside stadium were not aware of stampede," said IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal to NDTV on RCB celebrations despite tragedy.

"Its very sad and tragic," IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal told NDTV after 11 people died in a stampede at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium as RCB victory celebrations turned tragic.
"We had know knowledge of any event happening. No idea who organised it," he further said.
The Indian Premier League's Chairman Arun Dhumal told Republic TV that he denied having any knowledge of the identity of the person who organised a celebration event to celebrate RCB's victory in the IPL at Bengaluru's Chinsawamy Stadium that witnessed a stampede which left 11 dead and 27 injured.
Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy, Prahlad Joshi, said that "the state government in Karnataka has clearly failed in its responsibility."
"Seven people died in a stampede in Karnataka. It’s heartbreaking to see such loss because of poor planning and crowd mismanagement. The state government in Karnataka has clearly failed in its responsibility," he shared on his X profile.
"Celebrations is one thing, but the State government without proper planning, without taking emergency services into confidence, took this urgent and unfortunate decision. This could have been avoided. The Government is responsible for this and accountability needs to be fixed," he further added.

"I cannot confirm anything right now," said Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on dead of seven people in the stampede situation at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
"This is not a controllable crowd," commented Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on the massive crowd gathered to celebrate RCB's first IPL victory.
"This is a big occasion for us, and we wanted to take out a procession, but the crowd is uncontrollable. Hence we dropped the procession," he told NDTV.
