The second season of the much-awaited action thriller Special Ops, starring Kay Kay Menon, is going to stream soon on Jio Hotstar. The makers of the series released the trailer, giving a glimpse into the return of Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh, who will be delving deep into a gripping cyber-terrorism case.

The new season of the series will premiere on Jio Hotstar on July 11. The streaming giant revealed the date on its official X account on Monday.

Sharing the trailer of Special Ops Season 2, the makers wrote, "This time, everyone is a Target! Cyber-Terrorism vs. Himmat Singh and his squad. #HotstarSpecials #SpecialOps2, streaming from July 11, only on #JioHotstar."

The trailer showcases Kay Kay Menon reprising the role of Research and Analysis leader, Himmat Singh. He is on a high-stakes mission against the antagonist, played by Tahir Raj Bhasin. The trailer is packed with action sequences and espionage drama, leaving viewers curious about what's next.

Besides Kay Kay Menon and Tahir Raj Bhasin, Special Ops Season 2 also features Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Dilip Tahil, Prakash Raj, Parmeet Sethi, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami, Arif Zakaria, Gautami Kapoor, Kamakshi Bhat, Shikha Talsania and Revathi in key roles.

The espionage drama is the sequel to the Special Ops series, which was released in 2020. This was followed by a spin-off titled Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, which was released in 2021.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Ops Season 2 will see Himmat Singh facing off against cyber-terrorism, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) being the central issue threatening India's security. India's position as the world's largest user of UPI makes it vulnerable to a potential global privacy breach, putting its citizens' sensitive information at risk.

Himmat Singh once again gathers his trusted team to take on the digital threat, operating covertly to counter the enemy's moves. However, this time around, the stakes are high, as everyone is a potential target for the cyber-terrorists.
