Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his debut on the social media platform Truth Social on Monday. Truth Social is an alt-tech social media platform owned by Trump Media & Technology Group—an American media and technology company majority-owned by US President Donald Trump.

Prime Minister Modi joined the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) in 2009. He has 105.8 million followers on his X profile. Modi's official YouTube channel has 27.3 million subscribers, while he has 92.5 million followers on his Instagram profile.
Modi's first post focused on his friendship with US President Donald Trump, where he posted a photo with Trump. While, for his second post, Modi shared the link to his recent three-hour podcast hosted by popular podcaster and computer scientist Lex Fridman.
The podcast that dropped on Sunday delves into a wide range of topics, including leadership and global affairs, and was highlighted by Trump, showcasing the growing digital connection between the two leaders.
Earlier on Monday, US President Donald Trump had shared PM Modi’s three-hour podcast with US-based podcaster and AI researcher Lex Fridman on his Truth Social platform.
Modi met Trump last month during his visit to the White House. The two leaders had a cordial chat, wherein Trump called Modi a “tough negotiator."
