Amid rumours about Benjamin Netanyahu's death as the war between the US-Israel and Iran escalates, social media took a humorous turn as Israeli Prime Minister posted video of him sipping coffee.
On Sunday, Netanyahu posted a video on his official social media accounts to counter misinformation regarding his death, while enjoying a coffee in the video as a response to the speculation.
Despite the release of the video, public skepticism persisted as many labeled the move a calculated attempt at narrative control. Debates and theories have intensified online, with some questioning the video's authenticity, it has been labeled as artificially generated and has now been dubbed “Coffeegate.”
Now, memes are surfacing on social media platforms after Netanyahu shared a video of himself drinking coffee at a cafe to debunk his death rumours, followed by another video of him meeting people.

Israeli PM Netanyahu appears to be calmly humorous in the video posted on Sunday, showing his fingers with a smile while drinking a cup of fresh coffee. The caption was in Hebrew on the Instagram video, which translates to “They say I am what?” in English.

Then, the clip shows him joking with an aide, as he responds with a pun on the word “dead,” which in Hebrew slang is also used to talk about “being crazy about” someone or something, according to Reuters.
The Israeli PM tells the aide while grabbing his coffee cup, “I'm crazy about coffee. You know what? I'm crazy about my people.”
As per international reports, he plays around with words regarding death, which can also be transcribed as “I'm dying for coffee.”
