After PlayStation users, Xbox fans eagerly awaiting Grand Theft Auto VI can finally rejoice!

Rockstar Games has enabled wishlisting for GTA 6 on the Xbox Store, which means Xbox users can now easily track the game and secure their spot for next year's biggest gaming release.

GTA 6 Listed On Xbox Store

Rockstar's highly anticipated GTA 6 is officially launching on May 26, 2026, and its second trailer in May grossed over 475 million views on the internet, including around 105 million YouTube views. However, things went low after Rockstar once again hit the snooze on GTA 6 news.

The gaming community is once again in frenzy mode now that GTA 6 is listed on the Xbox Store. While pre-orders aren't open yet, players can wishlist the game, a move that can ignite excitement and speculation alike.

The listing specifies Xbox Series X|S as compatible devices, and support for older Xbox consoles like the Xbox One isn't mentioned.

Here's How To Add GTA 6 To Your Xbox Wishlist

  • On your Xbox Series X|S, open the Microsoft Store.

  • Search for "Grand Theft Auto VI".

  • Select the correct game listing.

  • Click the heart icon to add it to your wishlist.

A small file shows up for download, serving as a reservation, only for the automatic download later on upon game launch. Pre-orders will only be available once Rockstar Games announces the price begins accepting payments.

The good news is that Xbox users can now get notifications about GTA 6, including any announcements, developments and information, such as when pre-orders are opening.

Rockstar is yet to officially announce the price for GTA 6. Gaming insiders have tipped that the launch price could be $80 or even go up to $100, which will be a new record for AAA console titles.
