Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will face-off in the 2026 Women's Premier League (WPL) final to be played in Vadodra tonight. Delhi find themselves in yet another WPL, but this time they will be eager to learn from past mistakes and clinch their maiden title. Standing in between them and the trophy that has eluded them are RCB, statistically, the season's best team.

The road to the final for these two teams have been very different. RCB raced to the final by winning their first five games of the season. The Smriti Mandhana-led side then lost two games before rounding off the league stage with a victory. RCB will be vying for the their second WPL crown after they won it in 2024.

Delhi, meanwhile, endured a start-stop league campaign, winning four and losing four of their eight matches, which forced them into the Eliminator against Gujarat Giants — a side that had already beaten them twice in the league stage. However, when it mattered the most Jemimah Rodrigues' team produced a clinical performance and beat the Giants to secure their place in the final.

Players To Watch

Mandhana has been the most prolific run-scorer for her side this season. The left-handed opener has amassed 290 runs at an average of 48.33 and a strike rate 141.46. She is the only RCB batter to rank among the 10 highest run-scorers of the year. Grace Harris and Richa Ghosh with 228 runs and 183 runs respectively have also contributed significantly with the bat.  Pacer Nadine de Klerk with 15 wickets, is the team's highest wicket taker. Lauren Bell and Shreyanka Patil have taken 12 wickets and 11 wickets respectively. Bell's economy of 5.62 is the best among the 10 leading wicket takers this season.

With 293 runs, Lizelle Lee has been the highest-scoring batter for DC. Laura Wolvaardt has amassed 273 runs while opener Shafali Verma has scored 239 runs. DC have a bunch of wicket-takers in the top-10 list. Newcomer Nandani Sharma has claimed 16 scalps. She has been well supported by N Shree Charni with 14 wickets, Chinelle Henry with 12 wickets and Marizanne Kapp with 10 wickets.
