Is there a reserve day for the 2nd semi-final between India vs England?
No. The International Cricket Council (ICC) had pre-decided that the second semi-final (India vs. England) in Guyana won't have a reserve day because the match starts 48 hours before the T20 World Cup Final, which will be played on Saturday, June 29.
Given the tight schedule, allocating a reserve day for the India vs. England semi-final was not feasible with only a day's gap between the second semi-final and the finals. However, there is a provision for 250 extra minutes of play to try for a result if rain affects play but a minimum of 10 overs per side game will be required to constitute a match.
As per ESPNCricninfo, an ICC spokesperson confirmed that the match will start losing overs only after 12.10 AM IST (2:40 PM local time) and for the semi-final to be constituted as a match, a 10-over per side game has to be completed with a start by 1:44 AM IST (4.14 PM local time).
What will happen if India vs England semi-final is washed out?
If the India vs England semi-final is washed out due to rains or bad weather conditions, then India will advance into the T20 World Cup Final by virtue of their higher group standing.
The finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be played on Saturday, June 29, at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The match will begin at 8 p.m. (Indian Standard Time).
