Pace ace Jasprit Bumrah has reported at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. However, there is nothing to worry for Mumbai Indians fans as he is fully fit and raring to go, according to reports.
Bumrah has headed to the CoE to manage his workload ahead of the 2026 Indian Premier League season. The fast bowler will focus on strength and conditioning as he aims to feature in every match for Mumbai Indians and remain fit for India's white-ball tour of England in July. It will prove to be a lengthy season for the bowler who also featured in India's every match during its victorious T20 World Cup campaign.
India is set to visit England in July to play three ODIs and five T20Is. In the second half of the year, the team will be involved in Test matches as it looks to make a place for itself in the final of the 2027 World Test Championship. Bumrah is expected to play a key role across all three formats.
According to ESPN CricInfo, Bumrah will spend a few days at the COE, before linking up with his team for MI's season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium.
This will be Bumrah's 13th season with Mumbai Indians. Last year, he played 12 matches and picked 18 wickets. In all the pacer has played 145 IPL games, all for Mumbai, and claimed 183 wickets.
The 2026 season of the IPL gets underway on March 28 with a game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
