Telangana has decided to do away with the mandatory wearing of face masks, The News Minute reported quoting the state's Director of Public Health G Srinivasa Rao. "Wearing of masks is now a personal choice for everyone other than elderly persons above 60 years of age and those with comorbidities," Rao was quoted as saying.
Rao added that the Covid-19 situation in Telangana is fully under control with only 30-40 cases being reported daily.
This comes a day after Maharashtra decided to lift all Covid-19 curbs.
