India reported 666 Covid fatalities in a day as Kerala revised its death toll and added 464 previously undocumented deaths.
As many as 16,326 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry's update as of 8 a.m. on Oct. 23. That compares with 17,677 recoveries during the period.
Active cases dropped further to 1.73 lakh, which is the lowest in 233 days, and is 0.51% of the country's total positive cases, the ministry said. The weekly positivity rate has also remained below 3% for the last 107 days.
