Our channel checks suggest that the value growth for the industry was in healthy double digits, led by -
- strong surge in sales from e-commerce
- semi-urban areas continuing to outpace growth and
- revival in footfalls in metro cities.
Growth was broad-based across categories, with clear signs of up-trading. Growth could have been higher, if not for the supply constraints in many categories.
