In continuation to our mobility series, we are monitoring the global mobility and retail demand trends, believe both these data points are highly correlated.
Key takeaways for September 2020 - 1. Mobility data trends are improving month on month globally as well in India led by few states (e.g. Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu) while a few others still lagging (e.g. Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar),
2. on domestic retail demand trends, tractor sales continue on its strong V-shaped recovery with passenger vehicles recovering (albeit benefited due to base effect) quicker vis-a-vis two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and three-wheelers remain the weakest, and
3. globally, most of the countries are witnessing improving workplace mobility trends (e.g. Europe, USA) while mobility rebound in India is relatively weaker.
