Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd. has announced the launch of three new business divisions in consumer and small and medium enterprise ecosystem:
consumer and small enterprise loan,
secured business and
personal loan and SME loan.
We have earlier highlighted that Cholamandalam Investment is getting active in consumer and SME loans (unsecured), secured business and personal loans since the start of January. We believe venturing into new segments will further diversify its asset profile and also open up new growth opportunities.
Going digital will also result in relatively contained opex and better return on assets. Given its execution track record and strong parentage and brand, we believe Cholamandalam Investment's execution in these new potential businesses would be superior.
