Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Q4 Results: Profit Soars But Misses Estimates, Margin Expands

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd.'s consolidated net profit surged during the quarter ended March 31, 2025, but missed analysts' estimates.

The company's net profit surged to Rs 55.01 crore during the January- March period of fiscal 2025. That compares with a consensus estimate of Rs 70.15 crore by analysts polled by Bloomberg.

In the year-ago period, the company posted a net profit of Rs 1.40 crore.

The renewable energy provider's revenue more than doubled to Rs 2,519.11 for the quarter under review from Rs 1,178.01 crore for the same period last year.

Shares of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy on Thursday closed 0.57% higher at Rs 327.05 apiece on the NSE, compared to a 0.34% fall in the benchmark Nifty 50. The stock has fallen by 49.16% in the last 12 months and 28.73% on year-to-date basis.

Three out of four analysts tracking the company have 'buy' rating on the stock and one recommends ‘hold’, according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price target implies a potential upside of 26%.
