Adani Green Energy's Ebitda Jumps 35% In Q4, Crosses $1-Billion Mark In FY25

The company's Ebitda from power supply business rose to Rs 2,453 crore in the March quarter.

Adani Green Energy Ltd.'s Ebitda crossed the milestone of $1 billion in fiscal year 2024-25, as per the results declared by the company on Monday.

The renewable power generation company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation from the power supply business rose 35% to Rs 2,453 crore in the January-March quarter, as against Rs 1,811 crore in the year-ago period.

For the entire fiscal 2025, the Ebitda reached Rs 8,818 crore, marking a jump of 22% from Rs 7,222 crore in fiscal 2024.

The company achieved an Ebitda margin of 91% in the fourth quarter, and 91.7% for the entire fiscal.

The Adani Group arm's operational renewable energy capacity grew 30% year-on-year to 14.2 gigawatts in fiscal 2025, which "continues to be India's largest".

The firm also reported a greenfield addition of 3.3 GW during the fiscal, which is "India’s highest ever" by any renewable energy firm.

Adani Green Energy contributed 16% of nationwide utility-scale solar and 14% of wind installations in fiscal 2025, as per a press release. The company has achieved water positivity for the entire operational portfolio ahead of the fiscal 2026 target.

The company also informed the exchanges that its board has approved the reappointment of Vneet S Jaain as the managing director for a five-year term, with effect from July 10.

Commenting on Adani Green Energy's performance, the company's Executive Director Sagar Adani said, "We are playing a pivotal role in India’s renewable energy growth, which is evident from our historic 3.3 GW greenfield capacity addition in FY25. We contributed 16% to the nation’s utility-scale solar and 14% to wind energy additions, setting new benchmarks for rapid, large-scale renewable energy deployment."

"We are progressing well to develop the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW by 2029 at Khavda, Gujarat having operationalized 4.1 GW of solar and wind capacity within two years of commencing construction. We delivered high solar capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 32.4% in Q4 FY25," he added.

Before the quarterly results were declared, shares of Adani Green Energy closed 3.04% higher at Rs 940.2 apiece on the BSE, compared to 1.27% rise in the benchmark Sensex.
