Poland Has Serious Doubts Over Proposed EU Recovery Fund

(Bloomberg) -- Poland seeks more talks with European Union leaders about a French-German proposal for a 500 billion euro ($547 billion) recovery fund, an official said.

The official, who asked not to be named and is familiar with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's stance, said the recovery fund is a move in the right direction but negotiations are needed to iron out the way that the money will be divided, the channels of distribution and the plan's goals.

Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller wasn't immediately available for comment. The recovery plan, which won't be rolled out before 2021, needs to be approved by all 27 EU members.
