(Bloomberg) -- An Israeli soldier was killed and two other people were badly wounded on Sunday in a stabbing and shooting attack in the West Bank.
The assailant stabbed the soldier, then snatched his assault rifle and opened fire at two sites, wounding another soldier and a civilian, the military said. He commandeered a civilian car and fled, and as of late afternoon, had not been apprehended, it said.
The attack took place near the Barkan industrial area where a Palestinian gunman killed two Israelis and wounded a third in October.
