(Bloomberg) -- Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska says European leaders mustn't see immigration policy as a tradeoff between “humanity and security.”
- “We can't make this a choice between humanity and security, security and humanity together must be completely viable,” Grande-Marlaska says in interview with state broadcaster TVE
- Grande-Marlaska says he'll look at the legal basis for ordering summary deportations for people arriving in Spain without papers
- “I'll take these decisions with seriousness and the urgency the subject requires,” he says
