(Bloomberg) -- The Comoros Supreme Court declared Azali Assoumani's victory in last week's election as official.
Assoumani won the March 24 vote with 59 percent of the vote, the court ruled Tuesday in the capital, Moroni. His election had been disputed by the opposition, which claimed the ballot was rigged.
