Telangana Formation Day: Hyderabad Police Issues Traffic Advisory, Check Diversions, Routes To Avoid

Commuters moving towards the Secunderabad Railway Station or the Jubilee Bus Stand have been asked to start early and consider using the Metro Rail service.

The Hyderabad Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory in view of the Telangana State Formation Day on Monday, June 2.

To mark the occasion, celebrations will take place at Gun Park in Nampally and Parade Grounds, Secunderabad.

Commuters will witness diversions and road closures around these areas as traffic movement remains restricted at key junctions. People can expect delays through the morning and early afternoon.

Telangana Formation Day: Key diversions at Nampally

As per the Hyderabad Traffic Police advisory, restrictions will remain in place at Gun Park from 9 AM to 10 AM on Monday.

Vehicles coming from Dwaraka Hotel, Saifabad, that move towards the Hyderabad Traffic Police junction will not be allowed. They will be diverted at Ravindra Bharathi towards Iqbal Minar Junction.

People heading from the Nampally T Junction to Ravindra Bharathi will not be allowed and diverted at the AR Petrol Pump towards the BJR Statue.

During this period, daily commuters can expect traffic congestion at Ravindra Bharathi, AR Petrol Pump and Hyderabad Traffic Police Junction.

Telangana Formation Day: Key Diversions In Secunderabad

Vehicular movement in Secunderabad will remain affected from 6 AM till 1 PM, the Hyderabad Traffic Police advisory states.

It has advised people to refrain from travelling on roads connecting Panjagutta, Greenlands and Begumpet to Secunderabad as well as the surrounding roads of Parade Grounds. Also, the stretch between Tivoli X-roads to Plaza X-roads will remain closed.

Vehicular movement from Begumpet to Sangeeth X roads will get diverted at CTO X roads towards Balamrai, Tivoli, Sweekar Upkar, YMCA and St. John’s Rotary.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Bowenpally, Tadbund and Tivoli to reach Plaza will get diverted through Tivoli-Sweekar Upkar-YMCA-St. John's Rotary.

Those coming from Patny towards Trimulgherry will move through YMCA Sweekar upakaar and Picket.

Traffic from the Sangeeth X roads to Begumpet will have to take a different route through YMCA towards Clock Tower, Patny, Paradise, CTO and Rasoolpura.

Vehicles from Alugaddabai and Secunderabad Railway Station will get diverted at Sangeeth X roads towards Clock Tower, Patny and Paradise.

Additional diversions include traffic from Bowenpally and Tadbund towards Tovoli to Brook Bond towards CTO, Ranigunj and Tankbund.

Those travelling from Karkhana and JBS towards SBI Patny will be re-routed at the Sweekar Upakar towards YMCA, Clock Tower and Patny or towards Tivoli, Brook Bond, Balamrai and CTO.

Vehicles from Patny will not be allowed towards SBH Sweekar Upakar and will be diverted towards Clock Tower and YMCA or Paraside and CTO.

Traffic from RTA Trimulgherry and Karkhana towards Plaza gets diverted at Tivoli towards Sweekar Upakar, YMCA, or Brook Bond. Depending upon the situation, it can also get diverted towards Bowenpally Market and AOC.

People can expect heavy traffic movement at Chilakalguda X roads, Alugaddabai X roads, Sangeeth X roads, YMCA, Patny, SBH, Plaza, CTO, Brooke Bond Junction, Tivoli Junction, Sweekar Upakar Junction, Secunderabad Club, Trimulgherry X roads, Tadbund, Centre Point, Diamond Point, Bowenpally, Rasoolpura, Begumpet and Paradise.

Commuters moving towards Secunderabad Railway Station or Jubilee Bus Station have been requested to start early and consider using the Metro Rail.

The attendees at the event have been asked to use only designated parking zones, depending on the road map issued by the authorities.
