Mahaparinirvan Diwas: CR Issues Advisory For Entry And Exit At Dadar Station In Mumbai; Details Here
On Mahaparinirvan Diwas, a large gathering is expected at Chaityabhoomi located in Dadar's Shivaji Park.

The Mumbai Division of Central Railway on Thursday announced a set of rules for the entry and exit at the Dadar Railway Station anticipating a huge crowd for Mahaparinirvan Diwas, which marks the 68th death anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
On Mahaparinirvan Diwas, which will be observed on Friday, Dec. 6, a large gathering is expected at Chaityabhoomi located in Dadar's Shivaji Park.
The advisory has been issued for the specified time period, while passengers have been asked to adhere to the guidelines for safety.
The railway authorities have restricted the access to the central bridge and platform number 12 at Dadar station for crowd management. Here are the platform entry and exit instructions issued by the Central Railway:
1) Central Bridge
All entrances through the central bridge and platform no. 12, connecting East-West of Dadar Central and Western Railway stations, will remain shut for the passengers and followers.
The bridge will remain open only for those passengers, who are coming from the metropolitan mail trains and get down at Dadar to exit towards the city on the east and west side. Also, passengers can use it to move from one platform to another at Dadar Central and western railway stations.
2) Skywalk Bridge
The bridge will remain open for passengers coming from the east-west city line outside the station as well as for daily train passengers to reach platforms at Dadar Railway Station.
Also, it will be open for passengers coming from the suburban mail trains at the Dadar Central and Western Railway stations, along with passengers coming from the east and west city line to exit towards the city.

3. Mahanagar Palika (BMC) Bridge
The bridge can be accessed by daily train passengers. However, it must be noted that passengers and followers arriving at Dadar Central And Western Railway stations by trains will be unable to use this bridge for exits towards the east-west city limits.
4. Pedestrian Bridge
This bridge on the Central Railway to the north of the central bridge will remain open for passengers arriving at the Dadar Central railway station to change platforms.
The pedestrian bridge, that connects the Central and Western stations to the north of the central bridge, shall also remain in service for passengers to change platforms.
5. Dadar West Railway Station Platform No. 1
All entrances except gates no. 1, 6 and 7 near the skywalk bridge will remain closed for railway passengers and followers to come to the platform from the city.
The pedestrian bridge above Dadar West Railway Station platform no. 1 will not be open to Railway passengers and followers coming from the west to east city limits.
6. Bridge adjacent to the Skywalk (Western Railway)
Only passengers getting down at Dadar West Railway station platforms no. 2/3, 4/5 can use this bridge and move towards city limits from the skywalk. Also, they can reach Central Railway station platforms no. 9/11, 10/11, 12, 13/14. This bridge can be accessed through the stairs and lift above Dadar West railway station platform no. 1.
A public holiday has been declared by the Maharashtra government in Mumbai and suburban areas on Dec. 6. All government and semi-government offices in the areas under the jurisdiction of Mumbai city as well as Mumbai suburban districts will remain closed on Friday.
