Heavy Snowfall In Jammu-Kashmir
Heavy snow accumulation and landslides in Jammu & Kashmir prompted officials to temporarily close the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway between Ramsoo and Qazigund.
Several vehicles, including passengers and trucks, had to stop at Jakhani in Udhampur because of the situation. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is continuously engaged in clearing snow at the Srinagar airport.
The continuous rain and snow in the region for the last 36 hours have led to a significant drop in temperatures across the Union territory.
