Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Lose Rs 29,296 Crore In Market Cap As TCS, Infosys Drag
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 13.85 points or 0.06% lower at 23,031.4 and the BSE Sensex closed 32.11 points or 0.04% lower at 76,138.91.

The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 29,296.4 crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Infosys Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.
TCS witnessed a sharp loss among the top 10 most valued firms, with a loss of Rs 14,472.4 crore, bringing its market capitalisation to Rs 14.1 lakh crore. Similarly, Infosys Ltd. saw a decrease of Rs 8,263 crore in its market cap, which stands at Rs 7.65 lakh crore.
HDFC Bank witnessed a market-cap loss of Rs 6,959.4 crore, bringing its market cap to Rs 12.98 lakh crore.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and State Bank of India witnessed significant market-capitalisation loss of Rs 3,031 crore and Rs 4,908.5 crore respectively.
RIL saw a decrease of Rs 609 crore in its market cap, which now stands at Rs 16.5 lakh crore. Bharti Airtel Ltd. witnessed a loss of Rs 541.1 crore, bringing its market capitalisation down to Rs 9.74 lakh crore.
Bajaj Finance Ltd. gained Rs 12,067.3 crore, taking its market capitalisation up to Rs 5.20 lakh crore.
Reliance Industries Ltd. retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC, and Bajaj Finance.
After erasing earlier gains, the NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended in losses for the seventh session in a row. Infosys Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. share prices weighed on the Nifty 50 the most.
The Nifty 50 ended 13.85 points or 0.06% down at 23,031.40, and the Sensex closed 32.11 points or 0.04% lower at 76,138.97. In the first half of trade, the Nifty 50 rose 0.83% to 23,235.50, and the Sensex gained 0.78% to 76,764.53.
