The market on Wednesday opened in the green, snapping its declining streak. The Nifty rose above 22,300 and Sensex gained over 750 points to trade at 73,765. BSE Ltd., Coforge Ltd. and Gensol Engineering Ltd. were among few of the buzzing stocks on Wednesday.
BSE
Shares of BSE Ltd. fell over 9% on Wednesday to hit a four-month low after the National Stock Exchange of India shifted the monthly and quarterly expiry days of futures and options contracts of Nifty, Bank Nifty, FinNifty, Nifty Midcap Select, and Nifty Next 50 to the last Monday of the expiry month.
Coforge
Shares of Coforge Ltd. rose on Wednesday after the company signed a $1.56 billion (approximately Rs 13,593 crore) long-term deal with US-headquartered travel technology player Sabre Corp. The shares rose as much as 11% to Rs 8,006 apiece. They pared gains to trade 10.17% higher at Rs 7,946.20 apiece, as of 11:52 a.m. This compares to a 1.30% advance in the NSE Nifty 50.
Gensol Engineering
Gensol Engineering fell as much as 9.99% to Rs 372 apiece. The stock hit the lower circuit limit on Tuesday following a rating downgrade from CARE Ratings, which cited delays in servicing term loan obligations as the primary reason for the downgrade.
Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. rose nearly 4.73% on Wednesday and was trading 4.63% higher at Rs 2,734.40 per share as of 11:56 a.m.
Infosys
Infosys Ltd. rose nearly 2.32% on Wednesday and was trading 2.05% higher at Rs 1,722.85 per share as of 11:57 a.m.
Hitachi Energy
The shares of Hitachi Energy Ltd. rose as much as 7.90% to Rs 13,150 apiece. This comes after Goldman Sachs said that the company sees strong pipeline potential for more order wins emerging.
