Market analysts and brokerage firms have identified high-conviction trading ideas for the upcoming session, focusing on Nifty 50 heavyweights across the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and banking sectors.

Top picks include a consensus buy on pharma major Sun Pharma, telecom giant Bharti Airtel, and the country's largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI).

Sun Pharma

Sun Pharma emerged as a strong consensus top pick, with two leading analysts recommending a buy on the pharmaceutical heavyweight.

Rajesh Bhosale, Equity Technical and Derivative Analyst at Angel One, advised buying at Rs 1,795 for a target of Rs 1,875, with a strict stop loss at Rs 1,755.

Ajit Mishra, SVP of Research at Religare Broking, also recommended entering the stock at the current market price of Rs 1,795.40 for a higher target of Rs 1,895, placing a stop loss at Rs 1,750.

Bharti Airtel

Rajesh Bhosale of Angel One sees significant upside in the telecommunications space, identifying a buying opportunity in Bharti Airtel. He recommended buying the stock at Rs 1,835 for a target of Rs 1,920, advising traders to protect the position with a stop loss maintained at Rs 1,790.

State Bank of India (SBI)

Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking placed a buy rating on PSU banking major, SBI. He recommended a long position at the current market price of Rs 1,060.60 for an upside target of Rs 1,140, with a stop loss placed at Rs 1,020.
