Nifty 50 Top Gainers, Losers On June 20: Bharti Airtel, Bharat Electronics To Bajaj Auto And Hero MotoCorp
Jio Financial Services topped the charts after gaining 3.57%, followed by Bharti Airtel closing 3.18% higher.
Jio Financial Services Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., Trent Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Bharat Electronics were the top five gainers among the Nifty 50 stocks on Friday.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd., Hero MotoCorp Ltd., Maruti Suzuki Ltd., and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. were among the biggest laggards on June 20.
Jio Financial Services topped the charts after gaining 3.57% to close at Rs 294.25 apiece; followed by Bharti Airtel closing 3.18% higher at Rs 1,936.70 apiece; and then Trent closing 3.04% higher at Rs 5,897.50 apiece.
At the bottom of the chart was Bajaj Auto, closing 1.47% lower at Rs 8,371 apiece; followed by Hero Moto closing 1.04% lower at Rs 4,338.50. Maruti Suzuki settled 0.12% lower to close at Rs 12,791 apiece and Dr. Reddy's Lab ended 0.06% lower at Rs 1,325.30 apiece.
The benchmark equity indices reversed their declining streak as they ended the week with gains on Friday.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 319.15 points or 1.29% higher at 25,112.40, while the BSE Sensex closed 1,046 points or 1.29% higher at 82,408. During the day, the Nifty rose 1.38% to trade at 25,136.20 and the Sensex rose 1.39% to 82,494.49.
The frontline indices outperformed broader market indices, with Nifty and Sensex closing more than 1.3% higher for the week.
