Nifty 50 Top Gainers And Losers On Feb. 6: Cipla, ITC To Trent
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.39% down at 23,603.35, while the BSE Sensex was 0.27% lower at 78,058.16.

Shares of ITC Hotels Ltd., Cipla Ltd. and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. were the top gainers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Tuesday.
Among the losers were shares of Trent Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., Titan Co., and NTPC Ltd.
The benchmark indices traded lower throughout Thursday before closing in the red. The NSE Nifty 50 closed 0.39% down at 23,603.35, while the BSE Sensex was 0.27% lower at 78,058.16.
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex closed lower for the second consecutive session on Thursday, as market participants awaited the outcome of the Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting. During the trading session, the Nifty 50 dropped by 0.59% to a low of 23,556.25, while the Sensex declined by 0.55% to a low of 78,551.66.
In terms of sectoral performance, eight out of 12 sectors on NSE declined. Nifty Pharma, IT and Bank were among top gainers. While, Nifty Realty, FMCG and Auto dragged the most.
During the session, State Bank Of India, PVR Inox Ltd., KPI Green Ltd. and NMDC Ltd. released their quarterly results.

Top Gainers
Cipla Ltd. was the top gainer. While, ITC Hotel Ltd. continued to gain on Thursday. This marks the second straight day of gains for the company after ITC closed as the top gainer on Wednesday. The stock jumped 2.53% at close on Thursday. Shares of ITC Hotels, which were recently demerged from its parent company ITC Ltd., exited the BSE Sensex before the market opened on Wednesday.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. followed closely as the next biggest gainers, with the stock gaining as much as 1.37%.
Top Losers
Among the losers, Trent fell the most after the company reported its third quarter earning. The company's net profit increased by 37% in the third quarter of fiscal 2025, but missed analysts' estimates. The net profit of the Tata Group company rose to Rs 469 crore in the October-December quarter, compared to Rs 344 crore in the same period last year.
Other laggards on Thursday's trade were Bharat Electronics, Bharti Airtel, Titan, and NTPC.
