Nifty 50 Top Gainers And Losers On Feb. 5: ONGC, Hindalco To Asian Paints
The benchmark Sensex declined 0.40% to 78,271.28, while the NSE Nifty 50 declined 0.18% to 23,696.30.

Shares of ITC Hotels Ltd., Oil and Natural Gas Corp., and Hindalco Industries Ltd. were the top gainers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks on Tuesday.
Among the losers were shares of Asian Paints Ltd., Titan Co., Nestle India Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Britannia Industries Ltd.
The benchmark indices traded muted throughout Wednesday, though it opened on a higher note before closing in the red.
Earlier in the day, the Nifty 50 rose 0.29% to the day's high of 23,807.30, and the Sensex rose 0.19% to the day's high of 78,735.41.
The market has been volatile since Monday, when Trump imposed broad tariffs, in which, Canada is facing a 25% levy on most of its exports, with the exception of energy products, which will be taxed at 10%.

In terms of sectoral performance, nine out of 12 sectors on NSE advanced. Among the top gainers were Nifty Media, Metal and Oil & Gas. Nifty Realty, FMCG and Auto dragged.
During the session, Info Edge Ltd., Page Industries Ltd., Eveready Industries Ltd., Abbott India Ltd. and Arvind Fashions Ltd. released their quarterly results.

Top Gainers
ITC Hotel Ltd. was the top gainer on Wednesday, as it soared 4%. Shares of ITC Hotels, which were recently demerged from its parent company ITC Ltd., exited the BSE Sensex before the market opened on Wednesday. Despite opening 1.34% lower, the stock was trading higher during early trade and ended as the top gainer.
Oil and Natural Gas Corp., and Hindalco Industries Ltd. followed closely as the next biggest gainers, where the stock gained as much as 3.50% and 3.52%, respectively.
Top Losers
Among the losers, Asian Paints declined the most, falling 3.30% and Titan followed close, as the share price of the company fell 3.10%.
Other laggards on Wednesday's trade were Nestle India Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Britannia Industries Ltd.
