FPIs Stay Net Sellers For Fifth Session
In 2025 so far, the FPIs have net sold equities worth Rs 1.26 lakh crore, the NSDL data showed.

Foreign portfolio investors stayed net sellers for the fifth straight session on Friday as they offloaded equities worth approximately Rs 3,484 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.
Domestic institutional turned net sellers after five buying sessions as they offloaded equities worth Rs 1,720.32 crore.
On Thursday, the FPIs net sold equities worth Rs 2,806 crore. In March, the FPIs net offloaded equities worth Rs 3,973 crore, according to the National Securities Depository Ltd.'s data.
In February, the overseas investors had net offloaded equities worth Rs 34,574 crore. This was preceded by net selling of Rs 78,027 crore in January. In 2025 so far, the FPIs have net sold equities worth Rs 1.26 lakh crore, the NSDL data showed.
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex continued to decline as anxiety about the future of the global trade system prevailed due to US President Donald Trump's aggressive tariff policies. Rout in global markets also seeped into Indian markets. Reliance Industries Ltd. and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. share prices declined.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 345.65 points or 1.49% down at 22,904.45, and the BSE Sensex closed 930.67 points or 1.22% lower at 73,364.69.
