Asian stocks rose, tracking a strong American equity session, boosted by optimism over U.S.-China trade talks.

Shares in Tokyo and Seoul traded higher, while equities in Sydney were little changed after the S&P 500 Index broke through its 200-day moving average with a gain of over 1 percent. The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of NSE Nifty 50 Index's performance in India, rose 0.21 percent to 10,884 as of 7:10 a.m.
