Dam Capital IPO Allotment: Only 4.2% Of Total Retail Applicants Bagged Shares In Maiden Issue

With investment bank DAM Capital Advisors Ltd. set to debut on the national bourses, only 4.2% of the total retail investors who bid in the maiden issue received allotment.
The investment bank's initial public offering was subscribed 82.08-times (excluding the anchor book) and 58.19 times (including the anchor book).
The retail portion, which received bids from over 46.5 lakh applications saw 44.5 lakh applications turned down after scrutiny by the registrar and transfer agent.
Retail category was subscribed 28.11 times, the small-NII category was subscribed 93.05 times, the large-NII category saw a demand of 102.65 times, and QIB portion was subscribed 165.94 times.
The Rs 840.25-crore IPO received bids aggregating to Rs 48,890 crore.
DAM Capital Advisors IPO is entirely an OFS, and the proceeds from the offer will go directly to the selling shareholders. Dharmesh Anil Mehta is offloading 42.4 lakh shares, as per the draft red herring prospectus.
Multiples Alternate Asset Management Pvt. is set to offload 88 lakh shares, followed by Narotam Satyanarayan Sekhsaria offloading 70.69 lakh shares, RBL Bank Ltd. with 68.31 lakh shares, and Easyaccess Financial Services Ltd. with 51.24 lakh shares.

Retail Allotment
On the basis of allotment, the share allotment was done to 1.95 lakh successful investors out of 46.6 lakh investors.
As part of the retail category, 93.48% (42 lakh applications) of bids were for just one lot of shares i.e. 53 shares. Followed by 3.51% for two lots and 1.11% for three lots.
Small NII Allotment
On basis of allotment the share allotment was done to 1,996 successful investors out of 1.78 lakh investors. As part of the retail category, 94.88% (1.66 lakh applications) of bids were for just one lot of shares i.e. 742 shares.
Large NII Allotment
On basis of allotment the share allotment was done to 3,992 successful investors out of 83,163 investors. As part of the retail category, 92.84% (76,379 applications) of bids were for just one lot of shares i.e. 3,551 shares.
