The luxury italian sports car, worth Rs 10 crore, allegedly driven by Shivam rammed into pedestrians and vehicles around 3 pm in Gwaltoli area on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Videos that are going viral on social media show a private security personnel pulling a man out of the car's driving seat and taking him away in another SUV. While initially the FIR named the accused as an unidentified individual, after gathering evidence the police amended the FIR to name Shivam as the accused.

A man identified as Mohan Lal approached the court on Wednesday claiming he was on the driver's seat and not Shivam. The court rejected the surrender plea. While police continue to maintain that Shivam was behind the wheels, his family and counsel have argued that a hired driver was driving the car at the time of the accident.

Shivam's father KK Mishra and his counsel also argued that the car experienced a technical issue and that Shivam suffered a medical episode during the incident. Officials stated that these claims will be investigated.
