(Bloomberg) -- Stock investors who heed the tradition year after year of "sell in May and go away; come back on St. Leger Day" in September may be losing some money. The MSCI World Index has fallen an average of 0.64 percent during the latter month over the past 20 years, while October has seen an average gain of 1.67 percent. November and December are also historically fruitful months.
