New Delhi: The Finance Ministry today announced a range of measures to cut government expenditure and promote fiscal discipline.
These measures include banning officials from first class air travel and a ban on creation of new posts in government.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today also met with officials of the Central Board of Direct Taxation (CBDT) to review the direct tax mop-up for the year.
