India has administered vaccines to 1,34,72,643 healthcare and frontline workers with more than 8 lakh of them receiving their shots in the last 24 hours. The government also announced that senior citizens and those over 45 years of age with comorbidities will be able to get vaccinated for free at government facilities from March 1 and for a charge at many private hospitals.
