The board of Suzlon Energy Ltd. appointed Vinod Tanti as the chairman and managing director with immediate effect.
The board also named Girish Tanti as the executive director and executive vice chairman with immediate effect, it said in an exchange filing.
Both of them have been appointed for three years. The appointments come after their brother Tulsi Tanti died of heart attack on Oct. 1.
Pranav Tanti, the eldest son of Tulsi Tanti, has been named an additional director.
Vinod Tanti, 60, resigned from his previous position as the chief operating officer. He previously worked as the chief operating officer of Senvion, a Germany-based wind turbine manufacturer.
"Vinod Tanti brings to Suzlon, his vast experience of the complete wind energy value chain as well as his process centricity and drive for innovation," the exchange filing said.
Girish Tanti, 52, has an extensive experience of over 27 years in renewables and international business. He was a non-executive
director on the board of the company till date.
Pranav Tanti founded Skeiron Renewable Energy Pvt. and was its chief executive officer. The company invested and managed a portfolio of wind turbine assets of nearly 400 MW.
