Shailini Warrier Quits As Federal Bank's Executive Director For Entrepreneurial Opportunity
Shalini Warrier was serving as the executive director of Federal Bank since January 2020.
The board of Federal Bank on Friday accepted the resignation of Shalini Warrier as its executive director, as per an exchange filing.
Warrier has resigned from her position in order to pursue a potential entrepreneurial opportunity, according to the filing.
"After having served the bank to the best of my ability for more than 9 years, I do believe this is an opportune time moment for me to step out and pursue a potential entrepreneurial opportunity journey," Warrier said in her handwritten resignation letter.
In consultation with Warrier, the board has decided to relieve her on any date between May 15 and May 31, and has delegated Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer KVS Manian to decide on the actual date of relieving during this period.
Warrier was appointed as the ED of Federal Bank with effect from January 15, 2020. She joined the bank on November 2, 2015 as the chief operating officer.
She has over 28 years of experience in banking. Prior to joining Federal Bank, Warrier worked with Standard Chartered Bank and handled multiple disciplines across various geographies including India, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and UAE.
